Honoring leadership, dedication, creativity and achievement

Southern Oregon University has more than 40,000 living graduates worldwide. They are business leaders, active community volunteers and talented artists. The Alumni Association and Southern Oregon University value all of their accomplishments and take the time each year to recognize a few notable alums.

Distinguished Alumni of the Year

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that the University can bestow upon an alumnus. The award recognizes national and international career achievement and honors alumni who have brought extraordinary credit to the University.

Alumni Service Award

The Alumni Service Award recognizes alumni for their commitment to their community and service to people. There are many alumni who have dedicated their careers to serve others.

The Young Alumni Award recognizes a recent alumnus who is at the beginning of a career and is doing exemplary work in their business and personal endeavors.

Engaging and connecting our alums is both rewarding and practical. Our Alumni Ambassadors program honors our outstanding alums by degree program and connects those alums with our current students so that they receive a real-life view of that outside world.
