Vision for Homecoming
Homecoming should be a coordinated, university-wide effort to engage alumni, students, and the SOU community in activities and events that celebrate SOU’s past and present, while increasing spirit and pride among the Raider family.
- Homecoming will be a dynamic and entertaining driver to increase alumni attendance on campus while helping to identify enthusiastic and engaged alums who yearn to be involved with the university as volunteers, mentors, or for sharing their life’s experiences with students and interested programs.
- Homecoming will inspire and motivate SOU alums to return every year and communicate their experience(s) to their classmates and fellow alums.
- Homecoming will elevate the status of SOU with spirited activities that are both traditional and contemporary, and appeal to a diverse community and age groups.
