Last fall, several thousand SOU alums voiced their experiences, thoughts, feelings, ideas and recommendations as part of an alumni survey conducted by the SOU Alumni Association. The alumni office heard anecdotally from Raiders all around the world that SOU provided something special to them as students and that the faculty and small campus experience were pivotal in their intellectual and personal growth.

One of the takeaways for the alumni office was that a significant number of alumni want to participate in activities related to careers and networking. To that end, and due to the generous support of a donor, the SOU Alumni Association has launched a networking platform this summer for all Raider alumni and students with our partner, PeopleGrove. The innovative platform will generate hundreds of new connections and provide insight and accessibility in new and engaging ways.

“PeopleGrove offers immense value for every Raider. Current students will have access to alumni working in their field of interest, a private job board and unique career development tools. Alums have the opportunity to mentor, reconnect with the university and even explore new career paths themselves! This secure, SOU-only community will transform how Raiders of all generations connect, network and grow,” said Lauren Alvermann ’18, SOU Alumni Association board member.
