Jennifer Garcia was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She started her career in law enforcement as a 15-year-old volunteer Police Explorer with the Chula Vista Police Department. She began her career in federal law enforcement thanks to the advice and guidance of a professor/counselor at SOU in 2009 when she interned with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in San Diego as part of SOU’s Criminal Justice program internship requirement. After graduating with her criminal justice degree in 2009, she has been a criminal investigator since 2012 and currently works with the Department of Defense, Office of the Inspector General, Defense Criminal Investigative Service. In 2018, she earned her master’s in law enforcement and public safety leadership from the University of San Diego. Jennifer is also a part-time Adjunct Instructor of Administration of Justice at Los Angeles Mission College and a certified Work and Life Coach.
